Hillcrest Antiques offers over 30 years of expertise in the field of Antiques spanning the United States and Europe. Over the many years of locating treasures for international clientele, Locust Valley Antiques has established many sources for antiques and outstanding Objet D'Art. The company is committed te serving the designer as well as the collector.

I’ve opened an interior design shop in Locust Valley in 1970 and expanded to open an antiques shop, Locust Valley Antiques in 1995. The design showroom originally displayed high-end reproduction furniture and accessories, but I moved toward showing antique and vintage pieces exclusively in both my shops.

Locust Valley businesses have changed with the times and now compete with the larger shopping districts and malls.  The town offers a wonderful selection of restaurants, unique shops and boutiques that attract many visitors who are looking for a pleasant atmosphere. Each season is different: spring begins with an array of color with blooming bulbs and flowering trees, summer continues with blazing colors in the community gardens, planters and hanging basket on period style lamp posts.  As fall begins to change the specimen trees’ color, before you know it, it’s time for the Winter Festival, when the town is decorated with thousands of white lights, wreaths, garlands and balsam trees. The shops are all aglow with their individual artistic award winning window displays. 

I’ve recently owned & restored an historic residence on the edge of the business district.  The Cornelius/ Cocks house dates back to 1668 and is one of the oldest structures in the area.  It might have been town down until I purchased it and saved it from destruction. The building is currently listed on the State Register of Historic Places and has been placed on The New York State and The National Registry, the only house in Locust Valley with this honor.

I was instrumental in starting the Locust Valley Chamber of Commerce and was a past president.  I created various events to help bring commerce into the town: Art Show & Sale, Restaurant Week, Antiques Show, Winter Festival and Holiday House Tour.
